With leadership of our CEO, Executive Director, Director of Resident Servies and Activity Director who combined have more than 100 year’s experience, our team is compassionately trained mentored in caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia

Floyd Rhoades, MDiv

Founder and Chief Executive Officer
After serving as a presbyterian minister for more than seven years, Floyd embarked on a career as an executive in long term care. He served in senior leadership capacities with national companies. His experience included working with the public, private and new start-up organizations as wells as being involved in initial public offering before becoming the CEO of Visa Cove Senior Living, a company he and his investment partners founded in 2023, He received his BA from Miami University in oxford Ohio and Masters degree from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois. Floyds interests include volunteering in his community. He is Chair of the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission Board of Directors (2010-2018, and 2020-Current). He is a member of the Boards of Directors for the Advancement Board member of CSU. 

Lola Andrews

Interiem Resident Services Director

Lola comes to us with extensive experience in senior living and memory care. For the past 30 years, she has worked with individuals affected by Alzheimer’s and related dementias in memory care communities and skilled nursing facilities. Most recently, Lola was a Geriatric Patient Advocate and managed care planning for hundreds of home health and hospice patients each year. She serves on the Board of Directors for the American Business Women’s Association Trendsetter Chapter as well as the Advisory Board for California Nursing Education Institute. She is a past President of ACT1 (Aging Community Team). She has been a panelist for the Medical Management for Cognitive Decline symposium and is a featured speaker in Assisted Living and Memory Care Communities across the Valley. In her free time, Lola enjoys spending time with her twin sons Ike and Hank in Lake Havasu swimming and kayaking.

Jennee Cunningham

Resident Services Director
Jennee has over 20 years of experience working with seniors in skilled nursing, health information, case management, education and assisted living & Memory Care. After nursing school she earned associates degrees in Social & Behavioral Science and Gerontology from Coastline Community College and her bachelors degree in Sociology from Arizona State.
Jennee most enjoys the opportunity to show how the residential care setting allows residents to receive support to maintain their independence. Jennee is a desert native, and she is a proud mom of two; a daughter and a son. Jennee keeps herself busy outside of work with her chihuahua Gatsby and going to Firebirds Hockey games! 

Clifton Cole, M.D.

Visiting Physician

Dr. Cole began his career in private practice from 1981-2011. From 2011 to present Dr. Cole’s focus is memory care and is a hospice & palliative medicine specialist serving the Coachella Valley. 

Dr. Cole graduated from Loma Linda University, Medical School in 1981 and is board certified in Family Practice, Hospice Medical Director, Hospice Care and Palliative Medicine. 

Dr. Cole is passionate about getting involved where he can within our community and is an advisor board member of Alzheimer’s Coachella Valley.

Karen Tuvia

Activity and DayBreak Director
Karen brings a philosophy as thoughtful as it is simple: engagement isn’t about filling time; it is about creating meaning, grounded in culture, the arts and movement. Her works helps residents stay connected to themselves, to the world around them, and to the families that love them. 
Our LEAP activity program offers three levels of daily engagement; Personal, neighborhood and community, alongside our Namaste Program which gently supports residents in reconnecting with their environment and finding meaningful social interactions. 
Karens path to the calling is deeply personal; she walked alongside her mother-in-law and her aunt through their own ageing journeys. From more than a decade now she has served as an Activity Director and Memory Care professional.
Outside of work Karen finds joy in family, friends, yoga, swimming, traveling, music reading and creative pursuits! 

Patrick McAdoo-Morton

Executive Director
Patrick has 30 years’ experience in Memory Care, Assisted Living and Healthcare, He brings both a business background and the personal experience of having had a family member in memory care. He graduated with a BA in Communications from the University of Texas. He is responsible for leading VCRM in every aspect of our operation. Fun fact about Patrick – he usually has candy wrappers in his pockets (as he has trouble turning down a chocolate snack). Patrick can be reached most easily on his cell phone and is always happy to help 214-498-9614

Christopher Kerr

Director of Activities and Volunteers

Christopher Kerr has lived in the Cathedral City Cove since 2017 and began working in Assisted Living and Memory Care in 2008 in Northern California. He brings energy, creativity, and compassion to every aspect of resident engagement. He is responsible for the organization and implementation of the scheduled therapeutic activities designed to meet the specific needs of the residents of Vista Cove at Rancho Mirage. Fun fact about Christopher – One of his favorite activities is to go snowshoeing in the winter on Mt San Jacinto via the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway and maintains an annual pass for year-round access.

Pat Kaplan

Consultant and Alzheimer's Advocate

Pat Kaplan is a co-founder of Alzheimers Coachella Valley, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, whose mission is to provide charitable services and support for persons with impaired cognition. 

Pat received her BA in Sociology from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington and Gerontology Certificate from the University of California at Riverside and is licensed by the State of California as an Administrator for Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly. She also works as a consultant with Vista Cove at Rancho Mirage, providing Dementia training for staff and assisting with community relations initiatives.

Alejandra Franco

Human Resource Director
With a decade of experience in healthcare settings, Alex brings an empathetic prospective to her role in Juman Resources at Vista Cove. Her journey in this profession began on front lines, serving as both receptionist and an activities professional before transitioning into the HR Role. This diverse background has given her understanding of every facet of the community, fueling her passion for supporting both the staff and the residents. 
Alex is a long-time local, having called the desert home for the past 12 years. She is deeply committed to a vibrant and supportive workplace! Alex is also a huge Dodgers fan, and loves making memories with her two boys!

Ronnie Moreno

Nurse Consultant

Ronnie has 16 years’ experience as a nurse, project manager and multi-specialty medical provider (Memory Care, Assisted living, Skilled Nursing, Wound Care) and enjoys teaching and educating. He oversees the medical care of residents alongside our LVN Resident Services Director,  and under the direction of primary care physicians, a neuro psychologist, home health and hospice physicians. 

Bill Ward

Business Office Manager
Bill relocated from Columbus, Ohio to the Coachella Valley in October 2024 and joined Vista Cove that year in December as our Business Office Manager. Bill has vast experience in Accounting and Bookkeeping, as well as office management . He worked in the banking industry for many years and left his position as Vice President of Banking Operations in Ohio to open a Deli/Catering Business which he successfully ran for many years with his business partner. Bill later worked for a family-owned law firm before relocating to the Coachella Valley. 
Bill enjoys reading, movies, the history channel and spending time with his friends along with travel which is usually back east to see family.
